Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Short version: we do not want your personal data. We collect only the minimum necessary to keep the site running and serve contextual ads.

What we collect

  • Server logs — your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Retained up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, then deleted automatically.
  • Analytics — aggregated, non-identifying traffic data used to understand which dates are most popular and improve the site. We do not track individuals.
  • Advertising cookies — we serve ads via Google AdSense, which may use cookies to personalise ads based on your browsing history. You can manage ad personalisation via Google's Ad Settings.

What we don't collect

We have no login system, no email sign-up, and no forms that store personal information. If you contact us by email, that message is kept only as long as necessary to resolve your query, then deleted.

Cookies

We do not set first-party cookies for tracking. Google AdSense sets third-party cookies for ad personalisation; these can be cleared via your browser settings at any time. Our service worker (used for offline caching) stores only static assets — no personal data — in your browser's cache storage.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise this right, email admin@wordscapesanswers.info describing your request. We will respond within 30 days. For ad-related data held by Google, please use Google's tools at myaccount.google.com.

Third-party services

This site uses Google AdSense and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external services. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before sharing personal data with them.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a revised date. Last modified: May 2026.
